Order of Service

               Praise & Worship

Time of corporate word and or Testimonies: This is on occasion as the Ruach HaKodesh
(Holy Spirit) manifests in ways of healing or other praise reports.

Torah Service:
The Torah service is the ancient ways of praising and preparing our hearts and minds as we
draw closer to God. For the visitor, the Hebrew prayers and liturgy can make participating a
bit challenging. Relax! Follow the English text and simply join in as best you can. The chazan
[cantor] will help with the order as he calls out the pages in the siddurs.

• The Shema: This ancient declaration of the Jewish people’s commitment to our covenant with
God, is read with eyes closed and covered with our hands. This helps us focus deeply on the
eternal  agreement into which God and we have entered long ago at Mount Sinai.

• Mi Chamocha
• Amidah
• Ayn K’mocha and Vahy’he Binsoah
The reading of the Torah Parashah (portion)
• Mi she-berakh (literally, “may the One who blessed”) is a prayer for the sick where we corporately
   pray together.
• Hagbah and Dressing of the Torah
• On The Shabbat’s that announce the Rosh Chodesh [New Moon] we incorporate the Haftarah for
   the week.
• Brit Chadashah (New Covenant) reading
• Etz Chaim: We return the Torah to the ark
• Aleynu: We stand, bow and tell God how great he is. We also acknowledge that one day, all evil will
disappear from the world and every person will bow before the God of Israel and the Messiah Yeshua,
  who will reign from Jerusalem.
• Closing of the ark.

Blessing the Children:
The children are then dismissed to their classes. We always encourage the parents (or grandparents)
of the children to bring tzedakah (tithes) to their classes.

• Announcements
• Tithes
• Mourner’s Kaddish: this prayer is recited by mourners who are enjoined to praise God even in the
midst of their sadness following the loss of close loved ones.
• Drash: Message from the Rabbi’s or Special Guest
• Kiddush and Aaronic Binidiction
• Oneg (Delight): Please stay and enjoy a little bite to eat!

By the conclusion of the service we hope you will have encountered the living God never forgetting
His love and faithfulness. Always remember Yeshua welcomes all in the spirit of “Come as you are”, but
His invitation is always “Come and be changed!”.

If you need prayer please feel free to come forward after service.
